Asian Flavored Steamed fish

This is as easy as it gets if you use a large pot and a bamboo steamer. The broth will steam the fish infusing it with tons of flavor!! I serve this with brown rice and sesame green beans!

Ingredients

  • 5 pieces of white fish, I like using snapper but tilapia, cod, halibut work as well
  • 1 cup of veggie stock
  • 2 tbsp of tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp of fish sauce
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, whole

Directions

Combine all the ingredients ( except the fish) in a large pot and bring to a boil. Lower and simmer fro a few minutes.

Place the bamboo steamer in the pot and place the fish, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes until the fish is flaky and cooked through.

Use the cooking liquid as a sauce ( discard the ginger and garlic) and drizzle over the fish and the sides!
