Makes 4-6

These are so easy to make and are a fave in my house. It makes the perfect snack or breakfast for the entire family!

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry, store bought, thawed
  • 1-2 cups of apple sauce
  • 1 apple, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp of cane sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

Directions

Preheat the oven at 400F.

Cut the dough (both sheets) into 4-6 rectangles. I used a pizza cutter and a ruler to measure approximately and have similar sizes.

Scoop some apple sauce in half of the rectangles and add some apple pieces ( tossed with the cinnamon) as well.

Brush the borders with the egg wash and top with the empty pieces of dough. Fold and glue together.

Cut 2 lines into each piece so the steam can escape during the cooking. Brush some egg wash all over so  the dough can turn into a nice, golden brown crunchy pastry.

Sprinkle some sugar (optional) all over and bake for 25-30 minutes.

My husband loves to eat it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
