This is one of the easiest cinnamon bread ever. My kids love having cinnamon rolls, or bread on week-ends. I have to say that I don't always feel like baking from scratch to I try to find shortcuts from time to time that will give me a result as close as possible to what it would be like if I had done it all myself. This is pretty good! Plus it only took me 5 minutes to assemble.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 can of biscuit dough (mine had 8 in it and I needed 10 to fill in my pan)
  • 1/4 cup of cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp of butter melted

Directions

Preheat the oven at 350F and grease ( with coconut oil or butter) a 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch bread pan.

Combine the sugars and cinnamon on the side. Melt the butter and have it ready with a brush.

Open up you biscuit dough cans and separate the biscuits in 2 (so they are not as thick). Flatten them a bit with the palm of your hand.

Brush with butter and sprinkle some of the cinnamon sugar on each piece. Place them side ways in the pan.

Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. You might have to cover with foil at some point so it does not burn. The way to know it is baked is to insert a knife and have it come out clean (no dough attached to it).

When ready, leave to cool for 20 minutes before removing from the pan. Enjoy on its own or with some glaze or simply butter.
