This is a really nice alternative to animal protein once in a while. The sauce and crispness really makes it popular with the kids... Mine gobbled the whole thing down and were asking for more.
You can make it in the oven if you prefer (425F for 20-30 min, tossing it halfway)

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of firm tofu
  • 2 tsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tsp of rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp of sriracha or hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp of arrowroot powder or cornstarch
  • 2-3 tbsp of avocado oil

Directions

Press them down in between paper towel to get the moisture out and get them as dry as possible.

Heat up some avocado oil in a pan. Toss tofu with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar and let it is it for 5 min. Then sprinkle some arrowroot powder (cornstarch) and cook the tofu for 4-8 minutes, shaking it a few times so it cooked on all sides and gets a nice crisp all over.
