Makes 1 large pancake

I love these savory "pancakes" plus they are packed with proteins since they are made with chickpea flour! The key with soccas is to add flavor to the batter and on top as well, otherwise they can be quite bland.


  • 1 1/4 cup of chickpea flour
  • 1 /14 cup of hot water
  • 1 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1-2 tbs of avocado oil
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning
  • Toppings: sliced avocados, smoked salmon, goat cheese, micro greens,...


Turn on the oven at 400F. Using a cast iron, generously grease it with avocado oil ( if there is not enough the pancake will stick an due ruined).

Combine the flour and water until smooth and add the onions and seasoning. Transfer to the pan and sprinkle with Everything but the bagel seasoning, I used 1 generous tbsp.

Bake at 400F fro 10-12 minutes until cooked through.

Add any toppings you like and enjoy!
