Makes 8 small rolls
I experimented with a frangipane filling since it is my husband's favorite dessert flavor and I am happy to report that it was a success. I used store bought crescent roll dough and I had some filling left from my "Galette des rois", easy enough right!

Directions
Preheat the oven at 350F.
Make the filling by assembling the butter, almond meal, egg, almond extract and sugar together and creaming it with a hand mixer.
Unpack the dough and stick it together to create 2 rectangles. Spread the filling and roll the dough. Cut it to have 8 rolls. Place them in a greased bang pan and bake for 15-18 minutes.
When ready, sprinkle some powder sugar and sliced almonds and enjoy! You could also drizzle some maple syrup on top.
