Makes 8 cups

This is the easiest tea to make whenever you have a tummy ache or a sore throat or simply enjoy ginger and lemon... During the winter I have a fresh batch made twice a week and everyone enjoys it...
I have had so many questions about it on my Instagram that I thought I would share the recipe on the blog, so here you go!


  • 8 cups of water
  • 1 large root of ginger ( approx 1 inch per cup)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 3 tbsp of honey


Peel the ginger and cut it in big chunks. Juice the lime and lemon.

Place with the water in a small pot and bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes. Turn off and mix in the honey. Leave to cool.

I like to leave the ginger in it and transfer into glass container into the fridge.

I simply reheat a cup when I feel like it and keep the tea in the fridge for 1 week (which usually is gone way before that).
