I love this dish as a side and if there are leftovers I have it with a fried egg and avocado the next day! It also keeps in the freezer for a while!


  • 2 cups of rice (of your choice)
  • 2 cups of raw spinach or kale (or a mix)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce or tamari


Cook the rice according to packing instructions.

Meanwhile, using a food processor, finely chop the greens.

When the rice is cooked, heat up the olive oil and cook the garlic for a minute or 2  until fragrant. Add the onion, rice and finely chopped greens.

When it looks nicely combined add the soy sauce and the sesame oil and serve.
