Makes 2 dough balls

I don't always have time to make my own pizza dough but I have to admit that when I do I can really taste the difference! I decided to share it so you can give it a try if you ever feel like making it!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp of tsp yeast
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Toppings: tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, basil, arugula,...

Directions

Stir dry ingredients, including yeast, in a large bowl of a stand up mixer with dough hook. Add water and olive oil, and turn on slow to medium for 4-6 minutes until smooth dough has formed.  Transfer to a grease bowl and cover with plastic and leave to rest in a warm environment for 1 hour (until dough has risen quite a bit).

If you do not have a stand up mixer, you can do it by hand but it might take a bit longer and obviously more effort to do so.

Preheat the oven at 450F. Shape the dough either in a rectangle or circle and top with whatever toppings you want and bake for 15-17 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
