Makes 1 cup

This is the easiest and most delicious pesto sauce I have ever made. Sometimes I make it myself and sometimes I buy it.... Pesto can also be frozen and lasts for a while. It can also be prepared with other herbs or nuts, so many possibilities!


  • 2 cups of kale and parsley
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup of grated pecorino ( parmesan is also delicious)
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1/3 cup of walnuts


Using a food processor, pulse the kale, parsley, olive oil, salt, garlic, lemon juice and zest until smooth. Add the walnuts and the cheese and keep on pulsing until nicely combined.
