This delicious dish takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and my kids love it. If you do not like beef, use chicken or turkey or even pork. If you don't feel like veggies, don't add them. Have it on rice, caulirice or noodles....

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • A pinch of chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of shredded carrots and zucchini
  • 2 cups of cooked brown rice for serving

Directions

I have a rice cooker so I usually program my rice in the afternoon to be ready for dinner time. If you do not, cook the rice according to packaging instructions.

Brown the ground beef with the garlic. Add the veggies and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Meanwhile whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and maple syrup. Pour over the meat-veggies mix and let it simmer for a little while (2 min).

You can either eat it right away or store in the fridge until dinner time and just reheat it up for 2-3 minutes.
