These are a version of my salmon sesame recipe.... Super easy and so delicious, just switching things up a bit!

  • 2 10-12 oz tuna steaks
  • 2-3 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup of sesame seeds (both black and white)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp of avocado oil

Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the tuna and then marinade it in the sesame oil in a shallow dish for a couple of minutes on each side.

Dip them into the sesame seeds so they are covered all over. Heat up a large pan with avocado oil and cook the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side. I like mine really rare in the middle, if you like it more cooked I would add 1 more minute per side.

Slice and serve with rice! You can drizzle some soy sauce or lee hoisin sauce on the slices.
