Shrimp - Tomato Spaghetti

This is an easily put together summery dinner that will be a winner with everyone!


  • 1 pack of spaghetti (any kind work, whole wheat, fresh, gluten free, brown rice,....)
  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, cut in 2
  • 2 cups of shrimps (I used frozen thawed, peeled)
  • 1 pinch of chili flakes
  • 3 garlics cloves, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil, chopped


Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.

Heat up the olive oil in a pan and add the garlic and chili flakes and cook until fragrant for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and let them simmer for 5-7 minutes. Finally toss in the shrimps and sauté them until cooked through and turn pink (depending on the size I would say 4-5 minutes total, flipping them halfway).

Toss together with the spaghetti in a large serving bowl and sprinkle the fresh basil on top.
