Makes 2 cocktails

I am still in full mode dry January. To make it fun I am trying out a bunch of cocktails, I only share the most easy ones and this passed the test!! Yzu juice is a sweet kind of lemon but not easy to find, so you can use limes instead.


  • 1 small Persian cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of yuzu juice
  • A few slices of jalapeño (seeds removed)
  • 1-2 tsp of male syrup
  • 4-5 leaves of fresh basil
  • Sparkling water
  • Bunch of ice cubes


Blend together the cucumber, water, yuzu and maple syrup until smooth. I did it in a traditional bender but next time I will use my Vitamix for sure ( I think it works better at totally combining ingredients). You can (or not) strain the liquid so it is super smooth and there is no chunks, I did not do that and really enjoyed it.

Add in a shaker with the jalapeño and fresh basil and shake. Pour into 2 glasses top with sprinkling water and ice and enjoy!
