Right on point for fall, this walnut cake is so good, it might become a statement in my house!
Preheat the oven at 350F.
Cream the butter with the vanilla, the eggs and the maple syrup until completely smooth and creamy( takes 3-4 minutes).
Sift the flour, baking soda and salt. Add alternatively the dry ingredients with the milk to the butter-egg mixture.
Place the 3/4 cup of walnuts in the food processor and pulse until fine. Fold in the batter.
Pour in a greased bread loaf pan and sprinkle the rest of the walnuts on top. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy as it is or with a dollop of whipped cream on top!!!
